We aim for each of our Design and Technology projects to be inspiring, rigorous and practical. We encourage children to learn, think and solve problems both as individuals and as members of a team.

We motivate children to use their creativity and imagination, in designing and making products that solve real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values. We aim to, wherever possible, to link projects to their curriculum topic.

The children are also given opportunities to reflect and evaluate past and present design technology, its uses and its effectiveness, and are encouraged to become innovators.
