Christian Ethos
Recognising our historic foundation, Hallaton C of E Primary School endeavours to provide our community with a relevant, aspirational, diverse education of the highest quality so that everyone can learn, grow and flourish. We strive to preserve and develop our distinct religious character through our Christian values and shape our pupils’ lives, so that they become reflective, kind, responsible and respectful members of our society and resiliently work at everything with all their heart to reach their highest potential.
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Ezra 10:4
As a Church of England Primary School we have chosen to focus on five Christian Values that link to our School Learning Powers (Our 5 R's). These were very carefully selected by the children, parents, staff and governors.
These five values are visible in how our children behave and are displayed in our hall. We regularly refer to them in our Collective Worship and display a focus one per week in our classrooms. Children nominate their peers to light our Worship Candle at the start of our Collective Worship for showing our Christian values.
Our Christian Values are:
Friendship
Justice
Wisdom
Kindness
Endurance
